Jobcentre Plus gives reason for this new legislation of Welfare Reform to sanction jobseekers, as to cover administration costs of closing down claims and reopening them. So, it has been 6 weeks since my First tier Social Security and Child Support Appeal Tribunal regarding Sanctioned Jobseekers Allowance. No sign of any payment and also no contact from DWP or Jobcentre Plus about it. Is this common for everyone who goes to an Appeal Tribunal?

I have been tipped off by a blog viewer about the issue with a Decision Maker trying to apply a sanction for failing to apply for a job given to her as a Jobseeker Direction which is clearly “unreasonable”.

It is official: jobseekers have no rights. Jobcentre Plus doesn’t follow the law. There is no punishment against the Department for Work and Pensions for breaking the law or for human rights violations.
