New Deal Complaint unofficial fansite on facebook

A google search has made me aware of a facebook group….

Name: “Newdeal” should NOT be mandatory
Category: Business – Employment & Work
Description:
I have recently been made to go on the government “Newdeal” scheme, and can only say I was disgusted by this supposed training course, everyone I spoke to had a complaint.

The most common ones being
” We do nothing”
“We have not been sent on any courses”
“We have not been put on any work placement”

It could just be me but considering people on this “Newdeal” scheme don’t count as unemployed people in statistics it seems the Gov’ are just brushing people under the carpet for 13 weeks in order to make it look like they are doing something about unemployment.

At first I thought maybe it was just due to home town being fairly unproductive in general until I came across

http://www.newdealcomplaints.co.uk/

Which highlighted that it was not just me/ the people at my Newdeal training provider who were experiencing shoddy service.

There was a service called “Job club” in the 90s that the Tories ran which according to my Father, was just as bad.

Maybe its just due to during recessions the chosen training providers are overwhelmed but in any case, the courses should NOT be mandatory.

Anyway the point of this group is to highlight the problem and for people who have been on the “courses” to complain, I plan on trying to get such courses to be no longer mandatory so people that are receiving no help from such courses are free to leave without risking losing their employment benefits etc.

So please DO invite as many people as possible, read the website I’ve posted, even if you’ve never attended one of these courses you should be able to come to decision whether or not the courses should be mandatory or not.

If many people join up and if many people post complaints then maybe we can make a positive difference to those who are unfortunately not employed at the moment.

Thanks guys, we really appreciate the link and the motivation of people spreading the word.

If anyone else is also getting the same message please feel free to moan at flexiblenewdeal@live.co.uk

It appears it could be one of the wordpress plugins I have installed aimed to stop spam bots – there is no reason that normal web visitors like yourself should be denied access or receive any rude messages.

I will look into it and please accept my apologies in advance.

Thank you. I only posted in that way because I couldn’t see an email link.

With respect to messages like that. Any site that would think it acceptable to use stuff like that is not doing itself any favours. Us unemployed folk have to stick together otherwise they win.

I did think for a moment that this Blog entry was about my Facebook Page! Then I realised whilst I was reading this that it wasn’t me, not that I would insult people, but it did get me worried for a moment! LOL

For those who want to add the ‘Unofficial New Deal Scandal’ Facebook page (sorry I can’t rename it to ‘Flexible New Deal,’ it can only be set once!), then the link is here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Unofficial-New-Deal-Scandal/118038644893025

At least you should know I won’t insult you at all! :)
