Flexible New Deal Phase 2 set for meltdown?

Ministers have managed to implement an projected £530 million saving to Flexible New Deal Phase 2 after reducing the estimated referrals of long-term unemployed persons by around half.
This means that contracts will fall in value. The largest Phase 2 contract is for East London which was worth £130 million over 5 years and is now to be worth just £44 million over the same period. A 64% reduction. This is an enormous blow for welfare-to-work leechers (those who have no other significant income or operations apart from the taxpayers’ purse and Government schemes)… haha! ![]()

The savings are likely to be used for the extended Future Jobs Fund and other schemes.
Although out of the “recession” the jobs market is still very much uncertain. Future Jobs Fund (FJF) which created a lot of temporary jobs is extended until 2012… the contracts are for 5 years…
Will Flexible New Deal Phase 2 hit meltdown when (if) there is greater demand for job support than can be provided or will Jobcentre Plus delay referrals to Flexible New Deal Stage 4 (not helping unemployed into employment)?

The more work they do the less resources they go ergo the more they have to defend their ations the more money they pend.
