Another TNG Complaint

So Avanta’s TNG (Training Network Group) are in the spotlight again. In Ipswich, they have been sending incorrect destination instructions to Flexible New Deal participants. Yes, failure to attend results in sanctions.

  • Shows a map to a different place than the actual location – about half a mile difference
  • Directs those who come by train to the right place (although instructions not clear)
  • Specifies parking is available – for those who come by bus or via foot – parking not available at the actual location
  • States several bus services stop at the Train Station and gives directions to the wrong place – in fact, neither of the buses actually stop at the train station –  one bus station is a mile and a half from the wrong location as directed
  • Even the directions from the St Felix House Jobcentre Plus Office diverts you to the wrong place – although the actual location is a mere few minute walk away

If your given incorrect instructions you need to contact the jobcentre ASAP informing them of the problem, so there won’t be any come-back if the TNG query why you failed to arrive on time.
Remember the Nuremburgh defence, you were only following orders!

When you are summoned for an interview with your provider, be very aware of this stunt that they pulled on me.

I was sent a letter giving me a Date Time Place To Be. While I was on my way there I received a phone call from my provider cancelling the appointment and giving me a new time on a new date. The next day I received a letter informing me that I had failed to attend etc etc sanctions etc etc.

I managed to get to the provider, luckily their number was still in my phone and explained and showed them the letter I had received. They said not to worry. The next day I received another letter telling me that I failed to attend.

Luck for me I was on my way to my 1st fnd interview with my provider and it was sorted.

The moral of this story is. IF THEY CALL YOU FOR INTERVIEW THEN CANCEL. STILL GO AT THE ORIGINAL TIME AND INSIST ON SEEING SOMEBODY. ALSO HAVE THE FACT RECORDED BY F.N.D 8-O
